Who will win Saturday’s fight between Paige VanZant and Rachael Ostovich?

Robert Vallejos, Host – MMA Talk for Pro Wrestling Fans

Although we classify Paige VanZant and Rachael Ostovich in a similar vein, I think VanZant is a much superior fighter. PVZ might be promoted beyond her current skill level, but that does not mean that we should completely dismiss her talent.

Frank Hyden, Columnist – The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

I’m going with VanZant by decision. Ostovich will present a challenge but I think VanZant will rise to the occasion and deliver a victory. It’ll probably be close but I think VanZant does enough to get the nod and send her fans home happy.

Sean Covington, Columnist – Covington’s Corner

This is a tough one because Paige VanZant has been out for quite some time. Paige will have some definite cage rust. I think PVZ is more than skilled enough to defeat Rachael Ostovich though. I believe that Ostovich will be distracted by her personal life; her husband tried to kill her in November of 2018. I don’t think Ostovich’s head will be in the octagon against PVZ.

David McGrath, Host – MMATorch Today Podcast

Paige Van Zant, Ostovich has been wildly inconsistent in her career, the feel-good pick is Ostovich, but Van Zant is not all beauty she is very well rounded and has had some good wins.

In our 2019 predictions roundtable a couple of weeks ago, I predicted that Paige VanZant would win this fight and go on to fight for the flyweight championship before leaving the sport for good. VanZant sounds like she’s ready to fight and I think she has a more well-rounded toolkit than Ostovich does. She also has much more experience on the big stage. I’m going to stand by this prediction and call for a VanZant win by decision to open up tonight’s main card.
