“I haven’t really thought about [crossing over to the WWE]. For the most part, those WWE guys are pussies. To be honest, they’re messed up pussies if you ask me. Fair play to Brock [Lesnar], he got in a fight, but at the end of the day he’s juiced up to the f***ing eyeballs so how can I respect that? The other guy (CM Punk) he hasn’t fought yet so I don’t know about him yet… There’s some Dons in that wrestling game. The McMahon’s, they’re Dons. Triple H is a Don. The Rock is a Don. But the rest of them are pussies.”
-Conor McGregor gives his thoughts on pro wrestlers, especially those involved with MMA, during a media conference call for UFC 202 (transcribed by FoxSports.com).
Penick’s Analysis: There’s plenty of criticism to be levied against Lesnar after the drug test, and even to the fact that Punk hasn’t yet fought more than a year and a half after his signing was announced. That said, dismissing everyone in the pro wrestling industry in a generalization isn’t right, not that McGregor’s likely to care how his comments are taken. It does essentially take out any future crossover, but again that’s not likely something he was actually ever going to pursue anyway.
