An excellent Women’s Strawweight Title bout has been added to the May 7 Invicta FC 17 event, with the organization announcing Wednesday that Livia Renata Souza will put her title on the line against Angela Hill in the night’s co-main event. The card will be headlined by the Bantamweight Title bout between Tonya Evinger and Colleen Schneider.

In addition to that added title fight, four other bouts were announced for the event, as Japan’s MIZUKI faces Aline Serio in a strawweight bout, featherweights Latoya Walker and Charmaine Tweet square off, as do Amanda Bell and Megan Anderson, while Tessa Simpson meets Julia Jones in an atomweight bout.

The undefeated Souza captured the title in her Invicta debut, submitting Katja Kankaanpaa in the fourth round. She added a TKO win over DeAnna Bennett in January in her first defense.

Hill, who gained popularity in the UFC out of The Ultimate Fighter 20, has been great in two Invicta appearances since an untimely release from the UFC. She stopped Alida Gray in the first round in January in her debut, and took out Stephanie Eggink in the second round last month in a quick turnaround fight.

The May 7 event takes place from the The Hangar at OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif., airing live on UFC Fight Pass.
