Several fights previously reported for UFC on Fox 19 on April 16 have now been officially announced, and the event now has a location, as the UFC confirmed the event for Tampa, Fla., during Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 82 event on Fox Sports 1.
As expected the card will be headlined by a lightweight contender bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson, while the four-fight main card will also feature Rashad Evans vs. Mauricio Rua, Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida, and Rose Namajunas vs. Tecia Torres.
At least a portion of the preliminary card will also air on Fox, with only Michael Chiesa vs. Beneil Dariush, Bethe Correia vs. Raquel Pennington, and Hacran Dias vs. Cub Swanson yet announced.
The event will be the UFC’s first in Tampa since Feb. of 2009, with that last Tampa card headlined by Joe Lauzon’s second round submission over Jeremy Stephens.
