By Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Day 2 of Rizin Fighting Federation’s debut took place overnight in Japan, with Fedor Emelianenko and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal providing some highlights among a wide swath of quality in the clear spectacle-over-sport event.

Emelianenko made fairly quick work of Jaideep Singh in his return bout, finishing the taller kickboxer early in the first round, while Lawal scored perhaps his biggest payday with minimum effort by winning the two-day tournament via KO over Jiri Prochazka after an earlier decision win over Teodoras Aukstuolis on this same card. The tournament victory earned him $300,000 The rest of the card featured a number of submissions and TKO finishes, and provided a throwback type of night.

The event aired live on Russian and Japanese television, while a tape delayed piecemeal broadcast featuring action from both nights will air this morning on Spike.
