Norman Parke vs. Reza Madadi shifted to UFC Fight Night 76 co-main event with Rothwell-Miocic removal

Next week’s UFC Fight Night 76 event in Dublin is down to 11 fights following the injury to Stipe Miocic, which scrapped an appearance from Ben Rothwell when the UFC couldn’t find a replacement, and the organization announced on Wednesday that the lightweight bout between Norman Parke and Reza Madadi will now serve as the night’s co-main event.

The bout is a return to the UFC for Sweden’s Madadi, who spent 14 months in prison on a conviction for aggravated burglary in his home country. The UFC brought him back this summer, and this is his first bout back in the organization. Prior to his arrest, Madadi had won two of three fights in the UFC, including a submission win over current top end competitor Michael Johnson.

He’ll now be hoping to reestablish himself against Parke, the lightweight winner of “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” in need of a victory. The 28-year-old has dropped two straight split decisions, losing to Gleison Tibau and Francisco Trinaldo.

The new lineup for next week’s event in Dublin, Ireland – which airs live on UFC Fight Pass in North America – is below:

UFC Fight Pass Main Card (4PM ET)
