What is the better main event: Cerrone vs. Gaethje or Masvidal vs. Diaz?

The better fight

On Saturday, Donald Cerrone will fight Justin Gaethje in a very anticipated scrap. However, it was recently announced that Jorge Masvidal will fight Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 244. Both of these fights are crowd-pleasers. What fight in the better main event?

Cerrone vs. Gaethje, again, without question. Justin Gaethje is the most exciting fighter in the world and we know Donald Cerrone will likely strike with him. Gaethje is like how Ric Flair was in the 1980’s, he could have a good match with a broom. Gaethje could have an exciting fight with almost anyone. And Cerrone is an exciting fighter in his own right.

Masvidal vs. Diaz should be exciting but I don’t think it’ll be as fun. This is like choosing between cake and pie, you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose, but I’ll go with cake here.

Both fights scratch the same itch so it’s hard to pick one. All four fighters are fan favorites and tend to put on exciting fights. Diaz vs. Masvidal is the biggest fight of the two, but Cerrone vs. Gaethje may be the better action fight.

Cerrone vs. Gaethje may be a better fight but Masvidal Diaz is a better main event because they can actually sell their fight. Don’t get me wrong, Gaethje can trash talk but Cerrone is very respectful and will barely say anything during a build up to a fight. Diaz and Masvidal will respect each other but talk major crap while on their way to the Octagon. I actually don’t wanna see Masvidal vs. Diaz yet, it’s just a cheap ploy so Dana White doesn’t have two badasses at the top of the card that he has to promote or “push” as they say in wrestling. It’s gonna be great to see that brawl though and I’m positive it’ll be one of the greatest brawls we’ve ever seen.
