Who would you like to see Jack Hermansson fight next?

I think Hermansson should fight Yoel Romero next. It’s too early to give Romero a title shot again but I think you could give the winner of that fight a title shot and most people would be okay with it. Hermansson has already won four fights in a row so a win here would definitely give him a title shot. As for Romero, he’s lost a couple of close fights to UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker, but if he were to beat Hermansson, who else would you give the shot to? There’s not exactly a ton of contenders in the division right now. You have Whittaker and the interim champ Israel Adesanya. Presumably, you’ll have them fight to unify the title and the winner of Hermansson-Romero could fight them. We’ll have to see how it shakes out, though, but I think that’s logical.

Jacare is a legitimate contender so that was a huge win for Jack Hermansson on Saturday night. With that said, it’s not absolutely necessary that he continues fighting at the top of the food chain. There’s a bit of a log jam at the top with Whittaker and Adesanya set to unify their titles later this year and then Kelvin Gastelum can make a case for having the next shot due to how great and close the Adesanya fight was. Rather than match up Hermansson with Gastelum or another top contender like Yoel Romero and then have one of them lose and be pushed back in the pack, I would book Hermansson against the Elias Theodorou-Derek Brunson winner in Ottawa this weekend. By the time that plays out, there should hopefully be more stability at the top of the division.
