At UFC 219, on Dec. 30, Carlos Condit takes on Neil Magny. Who will win?

I think Condit takes this by TKO late in the third round. Magny is tough so he might force a decision, but I don’t think Condit would be back if he wasn’t feeling good about his chances. I think he counters Magny early and sets the tone and pace for the fight. I think he’s going to work the body and legs of Magny to wear him down before ultimately finishing him with strikes.

Winner: Condit/ Decision
Magny is a talented and a very capable fighter with the ability to make this a tough night for the ‘Natural Born Killer.” It’s hard to know what to make of this fight, or where Condits head is at. He did retire after all and has been inactive for a year. He’s fought the very best and maybe that has taken its toll. I’m going to go with my heart with this one and say Condit out lasts Magny and gets the decision.

It wasn’t too long-ago Condit was the number two welterweight in the world. It was even more recent Magny was the hottest prospect in the division. Condit getting completely shut out by Demian Maia last time out dashed any hopes that Condit would be returning to the upper echelon, but given Magny is dealing with his own slide, this seems like kind of a pick ’em. I’ll take Condit by decision but I suspect this will be a closely contested bout.

I feel like Carlos Condit’s time is over with that said I don’t believe that Neil Magny may be the guy to put him away.

While I believe that Carlos Condit is near the end of his career; Neil Magny, is the prefect opponent for Condit. Neil Magny can still rise in the division, but UFC 219 will not be the night that Magny gets back on track. Condit came back for a reason. UFC 219 will likely be the last moment for Carlos Condit.
