UFC 207 CONTESTS: Prediction and Betting Game Results

By Tommy Strong, MMA Torch UK Contributor

Happy New Year!

UFC 207 was meant to have been “Fear The Return” well, there wasn’t much to fear from Ronda as she was dismantled in 48 seconds by Amanda Nunes and almost certainly sending Ronda Rousey into retirement.

It was the co-main event of the evening that stole the show when Cody Garbrandt put on a masterclass solving the puzzle that was Dominick Cruz and becoming the new UFC Bantamweight champion.

The scoring for this event are as pretty as the morning after New Years Eve!

Let’s see how you all got on!

Alex Oliveira – (No Contest)

CONFIDENCE GAME RESULTS

Mark Sacchetti (30 points) def. James Brown (24 points) to become the MMATorch Confidence Picks Champion.

James may well find himself unfortunate to lose his title, when he saw 10 points go up in smoke with the non contest between Tim Means and Alex Oliveira due to an ‘unintentional’ knee. Mark had it all his own way after this, and with similar picks along the way is was plain sailing for the new champion. Great job Mark.

Next up to face Mark will be David Little who topped the confidence pool with 39 points predicting 6-10 fights correctly and being the only player to back Cody Garbandt to become the new bantamweight champion, that alone was worthy of winning.

Well done David.

Here are the results of the Confidence Picks pool:

39- David Little

36- Clay Burley

33- Scott Pipher

33- Joel Wielenga

31- Sam Martin

30- Mark Sacchetti

29- Charles Mickael

28- Anthony Sinnott

26- Norman Price

24- James Brown

24- David Lindahn

23- Malcolm Piper

22- Dan Moore

22- Tommy Strong

22- Jaymon1002

21- Rich Race

21- Neal Hollic

21- Mac Kinder

18- Josh Brown

18- John Lewish

18- Brian Foe

17- Eugene Kim

Note: Should either champion, or challenger fail to submit picks for UFC 207 (Holm vs de Randamie) Clay Burley would step up as a challengers and so on. Everyone else will be fighting for the No 1 contender slot on the night, and the right to face off against either Mark or David at UFC 209.

Neal Hollic: $79.41

$50 on Mercier for $79.41

Dan Moore: $0

Malcom Piper: $0

Neal Hollic: $0

Josh Brown: $0

Note: Should either champion, or challenger fail to submit picks for UFC 208 (Holm vs de Randamie) Clay Burley would step up as a challengers and so on. Everyone else will be fighting for the No 1 contender slot on the night, and the right to face off against either Sam or David at UFC 209.

Performance Of The Night: Only one player deserves this award and it goes to David Little who topped both pools and now challenges for the titles at UFC 208. Second for the 3rd time tonight, Clay Burley narrowly missed out on both title shots.

GOAT: So many players were up for this award, but Eugene Kim takes it for his 17 points and going 2-10 for the night.

Mac Kinder deserves an honorable mention for scoring just 17 points, but luckily for him the joker card saved him the embarrassment of this award.
