The Pitbull brothers are telling a very different story of the incident Will Brooks claimed happened on Wednesday. After Brooks accused the two of sucker punching him, Champ Patricio called him a liar and said it was Brooks who started the assault.
Will Brooks is a liar. He hit Patricky first and came at me, I went after him too and my first punch landed. We were separated.

Then he came again, I knocked him down. He tried to take me down, we were separated again and he started calling us cowards. — Patricio Freire (@PatricioPitbull) November 4, 2015
On top of that, Patricio pointed to an August tweet from Brooks threatening to attack him first when he saw him next as further proof of intent from Brooks.
He was a man of his word and faced the consequences. Now act like a man and tell the truth. pic.twitter.com/duGEbX9jRK

Penick’s Analysis: Just as the Freires should be held accountable if Brooks’ version of events is the truth, so too should Brooks if he struck first. Absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for, and the August Tweet isn’t a good look for Brooks. Nothing may come of this if it’s a “he said, he said” incident without further eyewitness reports, but there are two very different tales being laid out here, and each of them makes the other side look quite bad.
