Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes is locked in for UFC 207, Dana White confirms this afternoon. The fight will headline the Dec. 30 event in Las Vegas, Nev. at T-Mobile Arena. Rousey will attempt to regain her title against Nunes, who defeated the women who defeated the woman who beat Rousey a year ago.

Keller’s Analysis: This is big news for UFC, and a tremendous foll0w-up to UFC 205 in New York City. UFC so loaded the New York City show next month, they needed a blockbuster main event as a follow-up to help carry the last event of 2016. They did so. There will be tremendous anticipation for this fight, although the hype won’t really kick in until after UFC 205 in NYC. Oh yeah, and we still have UFC 206 in Toronto which might feature the return of George St. Pierre. Just give UFC your bank account or credit card number and let them take your money, because MMA fans are going to have some big events that will be tough to pass up to close the year. We will have a lot more analysis of this fight announcements, to check back.
