Do you think Miesha Tate can take the title from Ronda Rousey, or do you expect the Champion to retain? Why?

RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

OK, I know you're asking this question because you think you have to ask it, and you think that asking us, "So, if they fight 100 times in a row, how many times does Miesha make it out of the first round," would be a "leading question." But let's be clear here; Ronda Rousey is an Olympic medalist in judo, and Miesha Tate was a decent high school wrestler who can't box very well. So can she take the title from Rousey? Sure. If Ronda gets herself DQ'd, or breaks her toe, or gives herself a massive cut somehow, or has a shit ton of money on Miesha Tate. Other than that? No. No chance.

FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I think Rousey retains, but I also think that Tate will push her further than anyone else has. Tate is as motivated as you can get, and so as long as she handles the pressure she should have a good showing. However, I think the resolve of Rousey will be enough to win her the fight. Rousey has set the bar very high and I think we'll start to see opponents upping their game as well. Eventually this will lead to Rousey losing, but I don't think it's in this fight.

ERIC HOBAUGH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

My prediction: Round one the bell rings and 90 seconds later Rousey wins by armbar. Right now no one in women's MMA has the skills to stop Rousey's take down or her armbar.

KALE HAVERVOLD, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

My heart wants Tate to win, but my brain says Rousey will retain. Tate will have a great chance if she can keep Ronda off of her arm, but that is much easier said than done.

DAN MOORE, MMATORCH UK COLUMNIST

The only way Tate wins is if she keeps her composure and Rousey horribly doesn't. Their mutual disregard for one another might actually play into the hands of Tate, more so than the Champion. Even still, I can't see a way for Tate to win this even if she is better in the stand-up when she picks her shots.

Rousey will be her aggressive self and will attempt to take Tate down at every opportunity. Even if Tate has improved her takedown defense during this training camp, it's only a matter of time before Rousey achieves her objective. It might take multiple attempts to lock in the armbar, but Rousey will get the job done to earn another win.
