Another day, another injury change to a UFC event. This time up it's in the heavyweight division, as Rob Broughton has been forced out of his bout with Matt Mitrione at UFC on FX 5 in Minneapolis. The fight had been moved once already, as it was originally supposed to take place at UFC on Fox 4 this month.
Mitrione, the former NFL player and Ultimate Fighter competitor, will now take on Philip de Fries at UFC 155 on Dec. 29. De Fries revealed the matchup on Twitter, and hopes to win his second straight fight in the Octagon after his submission of Oli Thompson earlier this month.
Mitrione returns to action for the first time in over a year, and hopes to bounce back from a loss to Cheick Kongo, the first of his career.
