Ronda Rousey's popularity continues to rise, and on a card fairly lacking in name power last Saturday night on Showtime, she helped Strikeforce draw their best ratings of the year thus far.
According to a report from MMAFighting.com, Saturday's broadcast averaged 529,000 on Showtime, the best mark of the year and an increase from her more heavily promoted bout with Miesha Tate in March. That event drew an average of 431,000 viewers.
Saturday's broadcast peaked with 676,000 viewers, and Rousey's victory over Sarah Kaufman was the most watched Strikeforce fight among the men 18-49 demographic since Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in February of 2011.
