Glover Teixeira made one hell of a UFC debut on Saturday night, destroying Kyle Kingsbury in the first round on the Facebook preliminary card at UFC 146.
The 32-year-old would have made his UFC debut years ago, but he had issues obtaining a green card and his signing was delayed. However, he showed that he more than belongs in the UFC's 205 lb. division with a massively impressive performance against Kingsbury.
Teixeira was all over Kingsbury from the opening bell. He landed several hard combinations, then dropped him with strikes. He immediately got into mount, and after delivering a lot of damage on the ground, Kingsbury gave him an opening to lock on an arm triangle choke.
He obliged, and forced the tap less than two minutes into the start of the fight. It was one of the more impressive debuts ever, and definitely lived up to the hype he's received outside of the organization.
