It was announced earlier this year that Milton Vieira, the Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt credited as the inventor of the anaconda choke, had signed with the UFC, and now he's got his first fight.
The 33-year-old Brazilian will make his debut this June in his home country at UFC 147 against Felipe Arantes.
Vieira brings a 13-7-1 record into his UFC debut, though he's won seven of his last nine fights into this debut, including one bout in Strikeforce last August.
Arantes picked up a win in his last bout, defeating Antonio Carvalho at UFC 142 to move to 1-1 in his UFC career. Arantes is now 14-4 with two no contests in his career.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
