In the tradition of many of his former Ultimate Fighter winning counterparts, season 14 winner John Dodson will be dropping a weight class for his second appearance in the UFC.
The organization announced on Tuesday that the bantamweight TUF winner will drop to flyweight, and will meet Darren Uyenoyama at UFC on Fox 3 in New Jersey on May 5.
Dodson knocked out T.J. Dillashaw in the TUF 14 finals in December, but has previously competed as a flyweight. Uyenoyama drops to the 125 lb. division after a successful UFC debut. The 32-year-old defeated Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto in November on the undercard of the UFC's first event on Fox.
