A heavyweight bout between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia and recently incarcerated heavyweight Brett Rogers has been postponed from its originally scheduled New Year's Eve date according to a report from FCFighter.com.
The bout's postponement comes as Rogers' camp has had trouble procuring a work visa for a flight to Japan in time for the bout, and the fight is expected to take place now sometime in the first quarter of 2012.
Rogers is out of a stint in jail for a third degree felony assault conviction for a domestic incident in June.
The original report stated Rogers was still in jail. He was released two days ago, and the article has been edited to reflect that.
