Afghani veteran Siyar Bahadurzada will make his UFC debut this January, as the organization's Brazilian Twitter account revealed that he'll take on Erick Silva at UFC 142 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Bahadurzada, a member of Golden Glory, had been reportedly in negotiations with the UFC, and will now officially make his debut. He holds a 20-4-1 record, and has won six straight fights into this opportunity. Of his 20 wins, he's finished 16 by TKO or submission.
Silva is unbeaten in his last 10 fights, and holds an overall record of 13-1 with one no contest. He made his UFC debut in August at UFC 134 in Brazil, knocking out Luis Ramos in just 40 seconds.
