Anthony "Rumble" Johnson took a lot of flak for a grinding three round decision win over Dan Hardy earlier this year, but he reminded everyone why he's typically a fighter to watch at UFC on Versus 6 on Saturday night.
Johnson had Charlie Brenneman out-classed in the striking department, and after stuffing an early takedown he delivered a brutal series of uppercuts under the arm and knees to the body in the sprawl. After a scramble a short time later, Johnson then delivered a highlight-reel head kick that dropped Brenneman to the mat.
Unfortunately, it was another fight with a questionable stoppage on the card, as the ref immediately stopped the bout even though Brenneman went to his elbows on the ground and protested the stoppage immediately.
Regardless of that slight controversy, Johnson fought a fantastic fight to win his second straight and bring his UFC record to 7-3 through ten appearances.
