The first half of this mixed card (Strikeforce) was fairly easy to predict. All but one of the heavily favored fighters came through for us, earning some big points in the process. Last night's card (UFC on FX 7) wasn't as easy, and most of the fights were pretty difficult to predict a winner. If you did pick all six winners on the FX 7 card, then take a bow because that was no easy feat. Without further ado, let's take a look at how you all did:
CONFIDENCE GAME FIGHT PREDICTIONS

CONFIDENCE GAME RESULTS
James Brown (57 points) defeated Chris Houten (55 points) to retain his title of MMA Torch Confidence Picks Champion. Yet again, another really closely fought contest between two very worthy contenders. James did just enough to fend off his fellow Brit from stealing the win. James lost points on Marquardt, Nunes, Sarafian and Rothwell. Chris lost on those four fighters too. He also lost points on fellow countryman Michael Bisping and it sealed his fate. Proof enough that patriotic betting very rarely pays dividends (unless you're Brazilian!).
Next up for the reigning champion is Harry Cooper who came away with a very impressive 68 points. Well done, sir. Notable mentions for Richard Race, Carll Light and Scott Pipher who all posted very credible scores. Richard correctly predicted more methods and rounds. Therefore if Harry doesn't show up for his title shot, it will be Richard who steps up.
Here are the results of the Confidence Picks pool:
68 - Harry Cooper 64 - Richard Race 64 - Carll Light 64 - Scott Pipher 62 - Dennis Fagan 62 - John Theis 60 - Fraser McKenzie 59 - Avery Clarke 58 - David Moxon 58 - Mark Bunce 57 - Dan Moore 57 - Shaun Louis 56 - Nick Williams 55 - Mandeep Singh 55 - Erwin "Skarz" Bouwman 55 - Tommy Strong 54 - Jason McKee 54 - Charles Mickael 53 - Chase Murata 53 - Sam Martin 53 - Chris McCann 53 - Michael Douglas 52 - Anthony Sinnott 52 - Jack Broadey 51 - Ed Gibbons 51 - Dionicio "Dominus" Ortiz 51 - Clay Burley 51 - Danny Mellor 50 - Jimbo Slice 50 - Ben Heather 50 - Paul Connellan 49 - Brandon Ashcraft 47 - David Lindahn 47 - Alex Potapoff 46 - Steve Goobie 45 - David Little 45 - "The American Dream" Mark Sacchetti 44 - JayMon1002 42 - Brent King 42 - Joel "The Flying Dutchman" Wielenga 41 - Eugene Kim 41 - Rich Hansen 35 - Jonathan Walters 34 - Rob Reid 31 - Josh Hall
Note: Should either the champion, or challenger fail to submit their picks for UFC on FOX 6 (Johnson vs. Dodson), Richard Race will step up as a challenger, and so on. Everyone else will be fighting for the No 1 contender slot on the night, and the right to face off against James, or Harry at UFC 156 (Aldo vs. Edgar) next month.
BETTING GAME RESULTS
James Brown ($1048.11) defeated Erwin "Skarz" Bouwman ($0) to retain his title as undisputed MMA Torch Betting Picks Champion. Erwin sadly laid a big fat steaming goose egg on his bets. He wagered his pot on Nunes, Marquardt and Sarafian; with all three favorites letting him down badly. James also played it safe with bets on Nurmangomedov, Belfort and Ronaldo Souza. Difference being, they didn't let the champ down.

$200 on Belfort for $360

Performer of the Night: Yet again, one competitor takes home both title opportunities after a big night. Congrats to Harry Cooper and good luck next week because you're probably going to need it.
Goat of the Night: This is for anyone who put money on either Daniel Cormier or Josh Barnett. Utterly pointless and the returns were barely enough to buy yourself a Big Mac and fries with the winnings.
We'll be back for UFC on FOX 6 (Johnson vs. Dodson) as early as this coming Wednesday. I'll post links on my Twitter account when the contests go live.
