The UFC is in the process of finalizing a location for their June 26 event, which will be their fourth on the Versus network. And according to multiple published reports, Pittsburgh, Penn. has come into the mix for the card.

The UFC is still reportedly looking at locations in Ohio and Wisconsin, and Milwaukee continues to be talked about for this Versus card or the one in August, but the UFC has had at least preliminary talks with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission about holding the event in Pittsburgh.

The UFC will be returning to Pennsylvania at least once this summer, as they are planning an August pay-per-view return to Philadelphia, but they have yet to run an event in Pittsburgh. Possible venues in the city for this card are the 19,000 seat Consol Energy Center, home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins, and the 12,000-seat Petersen Events Center on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.

So far, two fights have been reported for this card, with Pat Barry expected to meet Cheick Kongo and Matt Brown vs. Rich Attonito planned as well.

Penick's Analysis: Pittsburgh is a great sports city, and the UFC will surely want to bring an event there as soon as they can. Right now, Milwaukee still makes sense as a possibility with Barry on the card, but with nothing set the UFC will go with whatever makes sense to them. But fans in Pittsburgh surely want an event, and the UFC wants to bring them one, so we'll see in the next few weeks which way the UFC goes with this card.
