Fresh off his tenth first round guillotine submission, TUF 12's Cody McKenzie is turning right back around, as MMAJunkie.com reports that he'll meet Yves Edwards at UFC Fight Night 23, also known as UFC Fight for the Troops 2.

Edwards was originally scheduled to meet Melvin Guillard on the card, but Guillard was bumped up to the main event against Evan Dunham when Kenny Florian was forced off of the card on Monday.

McKenzie defeated Aaron Wilkinson last Saturday at The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale, moving his career record to 12-0 and earning his tenth consecutive victory by guillotine choke. It was also his eleventh straight victory in the first round.

Edwards made a return to the UFC in September at Fight Night 22. He picked up a decision win over John Gunderson in his first fight in the Octagon in over four years.

Fight for the Troops 2 takes place from Fort Hood in Texas on January 22, and the event will air live on Spike TV.

Penick's Analysis: Ok, that's an awesome replacement fight. I was really excited to see Guillard-Edwards, but Guillard-Dunham is an excellent fight and this one should be a lot of fun. McKenzie is still very inexperienced in the sport, despite a 12-0 record. Not having been truly tested until his exhibition loss to Nam Phan during this past season of TUF, McKenzie's lack of time in the cage could potentially work against him in a fight like this. Edwards has been submitted only once in the last decade, and he's guaranteed to force McKenzie into a tough battle in January. But this one should be highly exciting.
