The UFC's return to Montreal for the second time in 2010 at UFC 124 is going to draw one of the biggest crowds in UFC history, and the UFC has now released more tickets for the December 11 event.
The UFC cited "tremendous demand" for tickets to the event, headlined by native son Georges St. Pierre in his Welterweight Title defense against Josh Koscheck at the Bell Centre, the organization announced the release of more tickets on Tuesday.
"The fans are really fired up for this fight," UFC president Dana White stated in the release. "Josh Koscheck's mission is to take the world title from Georges St-Pierre in front of his hometown crowd in Montreal. With such high demand, we released additional tickets and expect Bell Centre to be electric on Dec. 11."
The new tickets, priced at $75 and $100, can be purchased at the Bell Centre box office or at Evenko.ca.
Penick's Analysis: The Bell Centre has already played host to the two largest crowds the UFC has ever seen for an event, and with such a big title fight headlining this card, they could beat that record once again. St. Pierre vs. Koscheck is big on its own, but with a full season of The Ultimate Fighter, Koscheck has made himself even more of an unlikable villain for the fans in Montreal, and they'll be out behind GSP full force on December 11.
