During Dana White's conference call on Friday he announced several former Affliction fighters that the UFC has locked up to deals, as well as announcing that they were in talks with several others.
Coming back to the UFC will be, of course, the already announced Vitor Belfort, along with heavyweights Paul Buentello, Ben Rothwell and Chase Gormley as well as Paul Daley, Dan Lauzon and Rafaello Oliveira, the last two of which will fight at UFC 103.
On top of that, the WEC has added L.C. Davis, Javier Vasquez and Mark Hominick. Davis and Vasquez are set to square off on the August 9th WEC 42 card.
Penick's Analysis: Hominick will be another great addition to the WEC roster, as is Lauzon to the UFC and to a certain extent Buentello on his way back as well. The heavyweight division's got a ton of guys now that can set up interesting fights, and the influx of Ultimate Fighter talent from the upcoming season will only add to that. Belfort's the big one today, outside of Tito, and it's going to be an interesting next couple of weeks as well to see just who else may land under Zuffa's umbrella.
