With a plea deal reached and reinstatement imminent, Jon Jones returned to Instagram on Saturday night following the UFC 192 main event between Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson.
He first posted a short video of him nodding his head in approval and giving Cormier some respect for the win, a post he then deleted, but a second of him expressing the itch to get back in the cage was preserved by manager Malki Kawa.
For those who can't see the video, it's Jones walking in his home following the main event with a smile saying, "I think I miss it. I don't know!"
It's expect that Jones will be next for Cormier after the UFC officially reinstates him from suspension.
Penick's Analysis: Jones back to being Jones, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as far as social media posts are concerned. Jones hopefully understands the changes necessary for him to get back without the things that were getting him in trouble consistently. That doesn't mean he has to completely be humbled or any less than the endlessly confident fighter he was prior to all of this tearing him down, and personality-wise troll Jones has always been an entertaining Jones. This wasn't entirely to that stage, but regardless, with him feeling the itch to return, and the hit and run case settled, it's time to get back to business.
