An injury to Tarec Saffiedine in training has taken him out of a booking against Jake Ellenberger at UFC 172, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.
Ellenberger will shift to UFC 173, with Robbie Lawler turning right around to step in as a replacement.
Lawler went to war with Johny Hendricks for five rounds at UFC 171 earlier this month, just falling short of capturing the UFC Welterweight Championship. That halted a three fight winning streak since returning to the UFC's welterweight division last year.
Ellenberger was supposed to fight Saffiedine in January before an injury took him out of that fight, so the UFC re-booked it for UFC 172 in April. Now, he'll try to bounce back from his loss to Rory MacDonald last July against a more violent opponent in Lawler.
UFC 173 takes place from Las Vegas on May 24, headlined by a UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between Renan Barao and T.J. Dillashaw.
