There was quite a bit of action on Saturday's UFC on Fuel 9 card, but it was quite clear which fighters had earned the "Fight Night" bonuses when all was said and done.
And though UFC President Dana White had said recently that all events would feature a flat $50,000 earning per bonus, each bonus winner from Saturday's card in Sweden took home $60,000.
The "Fight of the Night" was an easy pick, with bantamweights Brad Pickett and Mike Easton leaving everything in the cage in their three round battle. Pickett was the better striker throughout the bout, and even scored some takedowns on Easton - who had never been taken down in his UFC tenure. Pickett earned the split decision in the fight, but both took home bonus money.
"Knockout of the Night" went to top Irish prospect Conor McGregor, who made a statement in his UFC debut with a first round stoppage of Marcus Brimage. McGregor blasted Brimage with a series of uppercuts, ultimately knocking him down and finishing things on the ground.
"Submission of the Night" was another easy call, though there were some options. But it was Sweden's hometown hero Reza Madadi taking the nod for his third round anaconda choke over Michael Johnson. The crowd erupted at the finish, and after nearly being knocked out in the first frame, it marked the completion of a huge come from behind victory.
