Though the middleweight bout between Tim Kennedy and Roger Gracie was originally reported as part of the UFC on FX 8 card in Brazil this May, Brazilian outlet SporTV now reports that the fight will take place on the July 6 card in Las Vegas.
The fight was initially offered for the May 18 event in Brazil, but Gracie declined the date due to the birth of his daughter. The bout was then shifted to the July 6 event.
"I think this fight will be, if you slip up, the most difficult of my career," Gracie said of the bout. "He is a very experienced guy, very complete. From everyone I've ever fought against, he's the best on the floor for sure, and it's good standing as well. I think it will be a good challenge."
Both fighters are making their UFC debuts on the card after submission wins on the final Strikeforce event in January.
