Next month's UFC 158 has gotten a late addition, as the UFC announced on Thursday morning that bantamweights George Roop and Reuben Duran have agreed to meet on the March 16 card.
Roop returns to the cage for the first time in well over a year, and is in desperate need of a win. The 31-year-old has won just two of his last seven fights, and in his last bout, he was knocked out by Cub Swanson in January of 2012. He was scheduled for two previous fights in the last year, but had to pull out of both with injuries.
Duran is also in need of a win, having lost in two of his three UFC appearances. He was also knocked out in his last appearance, suffering a brutal defeat at the hands of Hugo Viana on The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale card.
UFC 158 takes place from the Bell Centre in Montreal, headlined by the Welterweight Championship bout between Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz.
