Two bouts have been added to the UFC's next planned event in Brazil, as SporTV reports that Yuri Alcantara will drop to bantamweight to take on Johnny Eduardo, and Tatame reports that Godofredo Castro and Milton Vieira will meet in a featherweight bout on the January 19 card.
The event is expected to be a UFC on FX or UFC on Fuel card, though there's been no official determination as of yet, and no host city has been chosen. The card will not be a pay-per-view event, as the UFC will not run a pay-per-view card in 2013 until the Feb. 2 UFC 156 event.
Alcantara makes a move down to the bantamweight division after suffering his first loss since 2009 in his last bout. After a 3-0 start under the Zuffa banner, one in the WEC and two in the UFC, Alcantara lost a decision to Hacran Dias his last time out, and he'll look to start a new winning run down at 135 lbs.
Eduardo had a lengthy winning streak snapped himself last year, losing a decision to Raphael Assuncao in his UFC debut. However, he bounced back in his last fight, defeating Jeff Curran in May at UFC on Fuel 3.
Castro was a finalist on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, but lost to Rony "Jason" Bezerra in the finals in June. He'll return against Vieira, the creator of the anaconda choke, who fought to a draw in his UFC debut against Felipe Arantes.
