Next month's UFC 154 event has lost a bout, as Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson has suffered an injury in training.
The 29-year-old former kickboxer made his UFC debut in February, knocking out Dan Stittgen at UFC 143. He then suffered his first ever loss as a professional fighter in April, dropping a decision against Matt Brown.
He was scheduled to face off against Syrian-born Swedish fighter Besam Yousef on the Nov. 17 card, but according to a report from MMAFighting.com, he's suffered a torn meniscus in training. Per the report, he's expected to undergo surgery on Monday, and will be out for eight weeks.
Yousef has not received a new opponent as of yet, but with a little over three weeks until the event he may still be kept on the card.
