The UFC has added two new fights to the Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale in Las Vegas on Dec. 15, as TUF 12 winner Jonathan Brookins will take on Dustin Poirier, and Jared Papazian will drop to the flyweight division to take on Tim Elliott. The UFC announced both contests on Saturday.
Brookins has lost two of his three fights in the featherweight division, most recently losing to Charles Oliveira this summer. He'll attempt to bounce back when he takes on Poirier, who himself is looking to get back on the winning track after losing to "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung in the main event of UFC on Fuel 3 back in May.
Elliott made his UFC debut earlier this year, but lost a decision to the current No. 1 contender in the flyweight division, John Dodson. He'll meet Papazian, who drops to the flyweight division after consecutive losses at bantamweight.
The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson, airing live on FX.
