This Friday night in Minneapolis, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne will look to post his fifth win inside the Octagon. The 30-year-old must get past Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, but if he does so, he'll remain undefeated on his career with a mark of 5-0-1 in the UFC.

He's compiled that record in fairly quiet fashion, and Friday's event will be his first main event matchup in the UFC. Still, flying under the radar is in line with how Brown carries himself. He's not out-spoken, so far as competitors in the UFC are concerned, and he hasn't tried to stake his claim to anything with his words. Instead, he hopes his actions in the cage leads to that case being made for him.

"Once you start putting in your time and once you start developing into the fighter you need to develop into, other people do the talking for you," Browne said in an interview with MMAWeekly.com. "That's one thing I guess in a sense I'm kind of prideful cause I don't like to talk about myself. I want to put on such a good performance that other people talk for me and that my reputation is built on what I did and not what I said."

"You know Joe Silva and Dana White, the reason the UFC's where it's at is because of those guys and the matches they've made in the past," Browne continued. "I put my trust in them, that's kind of something you do when you sign up with the UFC, and it's worked for me. They've put me in a position to succeed and I've just taken advantage of the time that they've given me."

"I don't mind flying under the radar. I let my performances speak for themselves and that's something that I'm going to do whether I'm a champion, whether I'm not a champion, or where I'm at in the division. I want to be as good as I can be for every fight I get and eventually my title shot will come."

Penick's Analysis: Browne's fights with Cheick Kongo and Rob Broughton put a damper on things for him, as they were both dull affairs and take away from the highlights he's had. Still, those highlights. His excellent superman punch KO over Stefan Struve was fantastic, and his flying knee to set up the end against Chad Griggs was as well. He's capable of being an incredibly dynamic fighter, and as one of the rising heavyweights in the UFC, that dynamism could serve him well in getting to an eventual title shot in the division.
