UFC middleweight Chris Weidman has a date with Tim Boetsch this December in an important fight for each of them, but before he gets into his full training camp for that bout, he decided to go under the knife to take care of a nagging issue.
Weidman posted a couple of pictures on Facebook and Twitter over the weekend after undergoing a minor procedure on his elbow. Weidman had several loose bone-spur like bodies floating around the elbow that were causing him pain for some time, so with time on his side he opted to remove them now.
The surgery won't affect his bout with Boetsch, and he'll be ready to get right back into things soon. Below are the pictures he posted, along with his comments on each.
"Just got these bad boys taken out of my elbow. Have been in there for 2 years. [Definitely] happy I won't be dealing with that pain anymore. Also got announced I'm fighting December 29 against Tim Boetsch in Vegas. Excited."
"Day 1 post surgery. Looking good and feeling good. Shout out to the man Dr Reeves. Came to hotel to check on me.
