Eight fighters received medical suspensions from the Colorado Office of Boxing following last Saturday's UFC 150 event in Denver. That marked a smaller percentage of the card than usual for UFC events, despite a number of stoppages on the card.
Topping the suspensions was UFC Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson, who has been suspended indefinitely pending clearance by a physician. The nature of his suspension wasn't revealed, as Colorado law doesn't allow the Office of Boxing to give that information out, but it's essentially a formality, and his next bout has already been set for Dec. 8 against Nate Diaz.
Three other fighters received fairly lengthy suspensions, with Melvin Guillard, Justin Lawrence, and Jared Hamman all out at least 60 days. The full list of medical suspensions is below:
Benson Henderson: Pending physician's clearance
Justin Lawrence: 60 day suspension (and physician's clearance)
Melvin Guillard: 60 day suspension
Jared Hamman: 60 day suspension
Dustin Pague: 45 day suspension
Eiji Mitsuoka: 45 day suspension
Buddy Roberts: 30 day suspension
Ken Stone: 30 day suspension
