In one of the quickest and craziest back and forth battles in UFC history, Donald Cerrone knocked out friend and former teammate Melvin Guillard at UFC 150 on Saturday night in Denver, Colo.

Facing each other in the co-main event of the card, with a No.1 contender fight with Anthony Pettis almost assuredly on the line, Cerrone and Guillard both looked to make it a quick fight. Cerrone rushed in early, throwing a high kick right off the back and coming in very aggressively.

That strategy nearly backfired, as Guillard dropped him with a huge counter-left hook and tried to finish him with strikes on the cage. He managed to survive, but he seemed on borrowed time for a bit after getting cracked.

Then, out of nowhere himself, he stunned Guillard with a head kick that cracked the top of his head. Standing still and unable to react, Guillard was a sitting target as Cerrone rushed in and spun him around with a huge right, knocking him out as he face-planted into the mat.

Cerrone held up on the attack as Guillard was out and the referee got in there to stop the action. The win was his second straight after a decision loss to Nate Diaz, and a bout with Pettis is likely up next. For Guillard, this was his third loss in his last four fights.
