The UFC has added two more fights to their October 13 event in Rio de Janeiro, as a bout between Luis Cane and Chris Camozzi has been confirmed for UFC 153, along with an announcement that Gabriel Gonzaga will take on UFC newcomer Geronimo Dos Santos on the event.
The Cane-Camozzi bout marks Cane's first in the middleweight division. He was originally scheduled to drop down against Yushin Okami at UFC 150 this month, but an injury pulled him from that event. The drop in weight comes after three losses in his last four fights, and he'll attempt to get past Camozzi, who has won two straight by third round stoppage.
Gonzaga returns to Brazil for the second straight fight, after successfully making his return to the UFC at UFC 142 in January. He hadn't fought in the UFC since 2010, but he stopped Ednaldo Oliveira in just over three minutes to mark his return to the organization. Dos Santos has won 12 fights in a row over the last 16 months, but the signing is a curious one as he's a 31-year-old journeyman with 14 losses on his record.
UFC 153 is headlined by a Featherweight Championship bout between Jose Aldo and Erik Koch, and is the UFC's third event in Brazil in 2011.
