Martin Kampmann once again fought back from adversity to capture a win in the UFC, but he did it quicker this time around. In the main event of "The Ultimate Fighter: Live" Finale on Friday night, Kampmann knocked out Jake Ellenberger with a vicious series of knees in the second round.

Ellenberger's heavy hands kicked things off in the first, as he knocked Kampmann down with a left hook to the jaw. However, he then engaged Kampmann in his guard, and spent most of the remainder of the round defending guillotine attempts and letting Kampmann recover.

In the second, Ellenberger again blasted Kampmann early on, bloodying him up with a couple of flurries. Kampmann was still in it, however, and he staggered Ellenberger with a punch to the forehead. He then quickly engaged at the cage, and unleashed three knees to the head in the clinch that sent Ellenberger crashing down. The third one crumpled Ellenberger, and referee Steve Mazagatti stepped in immediately.

The win moves Kampmann into a likely meeting with Johny Hendricks later this year in a No. 1 contender fight. It was his third straight win after a robbery loss against Diego Sanchez and a very close decision against Jake Shields, and with those two losses he's 6-2 in his last eight fights.

Ellenberger's six-fight winning streak in the UFC is snapped, bringing him to 6-2 overall in the organization. The loss was just his sixth in 33 professional fights, and was the first time he had been stopped by strikes.
