Alistair Overeem has taken his second drug test in compliance with the conditions of his conditional license with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, according to a report from Josh Gross at ESPN.com.

Overeem traveled to the UK this month to take his first pre-fight drug test, a requirement laid out by the NSAC after Overeem failed to properly comply with their first request for a random drug test in November. That test came back negative, but additionally he was required to submit one more sample when he landed in the U.S., as well as two more at random in the six months after the fight this Friday. But that's not all.

Per Gross, Overeem submitted his second urine sample at a Quest Diagnostics facility on Monday after arriving in Las Vegas. However, he'll submit two samples this week, one before and one after his fight with Brock Lesnar, and will still have the two random samples to submit in the next six months.

Still, provided all of them are clean, there will be no further repercussions for his failure to initially comply.

Penick's Analysis: Neither Overeem nor the NSAC handled the initial request for a random test well, and it led to the conditional license for this fight. So far Overeem has done all that's been asked of him for this conditional license, and as long as that continues there won't be any issues. Hopefully that ends up being the case, as it wouldn't be in anyone's interest to have any potential outcome of Friday's fight tarnished by a failed test by Overeem.
