Daria Abragimova did everything she possibly could to make it through a round with Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino at Invicta FC 15, but it was not in the cards for her, as she was dropped and finished with just seconds remaining in the opening frame.

The main event fight capped off a night of highlights for Invicta, with several standout performances leaving a mark at the end of the night. Justino's latest title defense - a return to featherweight after bailing on plans to drop to bantamweight following Ronda Rousey's loss at UFC 193 - serves as her fifth straight win inside the Invicta cage. Each of them has ended by knockout or TKO.

Abragimova came out with a gameplan to get Justino to the ground at all costs, hoping to avoid getting lit up from distance. Unfortunately, while she maintained single leg control for large portions of the round, she took a bunch of damage in the process. Then, just as it seemed she'd at least get a chance to reset, she was dropped shortly after separating, and Justino finished her off with strikes on the ground for the near last second finish.

In the co-main event, Livia Renata Souza made a further case for a UFC call up, moving to 9-0 in the first defense of her Invicta FC Strawweight Championship. The 24-year-old Brazilian picked up her first TKO finish, cracking the up-until-Saturday undefeated challenger DeAnna Bennett with a body shot. It was a bit of a poetic finish, as Bennett herself had scored a similar stoppage in her Invicta debut back in 2014. Souza now has eight finishes in total, with seven submissions on her record into this fight. That included a submission win over Katja Kankaanpaa to take the title in her Invicta debut last April.

Following those two highlights, the seven fight card featured finishes from four other fighters, with Amber Brown and Mizuki Inoue scoring submission wins, while TUF 20 competitor and two-fight UFC vet Angela Hill got her Invicta career off to an excellent start with a first round win over Alida Gray.
