Asian MMA got an interesting boost on Wednesday, as Philippines based ONE Fighting Championship and Glory Sports International (GSI) announced an exclusive partnership in Asia. The two sides have agreed to exchange fighters between the two organizations for ONE FC events and DREAM events run by GSI, a partnership which will begin immediately.
"It is an absolute pleasure to work with Glory Sports International," said ONE FC CEO Victor Cui. "Our events will have even more exciting match-ups and the biggest winners are the fans of MMA around the world. ONE FC will continue to showcase the most exciting fights between the best fighters in Asia and having GSI as a partner will automatically create new opportunities for everyone involved and looking to associate with the fastest growing sport in the world."
Added Marcus Luer, CEO of GSI, "GLORY Sports International and ONE Fighting Championship will cooperate to develop the sport of MMA in Asia - GSI through its DREAM brand in Japan and ONE FC with its events throughout Asia. We feel it is a mutually beneficial partnership and look forward to working with the ONE FC team."
