Moving their timeslot up two hours due to UFC 128 on Saturday night, Bellator Fighting Championships saw a dip in their ratings for their third event of season four.
According to a report from MMAJunkie.com, Saturday's Bellator 37 event drew 173,000 viewers to MTV2, down from their high mark the prior week for Bellator 36, which drew 230,000 viewers for the first run.
This week's event featured four quarterfinal bouts in the season four featherweight tournament. Patricio "Pitbull" Freire, Wilson Reis, Daniel Straus and Kenny Foster each advanced to the semifinals with victories on the card.
Penick's Analysis: I'm curious to see if this coming Saturday shows another dip, as they'll once again be up against a UFC event, but this one is free on Spike TV. In the earlier start time yet again, if they can at least hold steady with what they got on Saturday it will be a good sign, but they could continue to see declines with shifting start times and competing events.
