Bellator's season four lightweight tournament will kick off on March 12, as the organization on Monday announced that they will be returning to Louisiana for their second event of the season.
The event will come to the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium in Louisiana, and it will mark Bellator's third event in the state. The venue seats 3,200 spectators, and was built in 1929.
"We're thrilled to be returning to Louisianna with our world-class mixed martial arts events live on MTV2," said Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney. "The historic Municipal Auditorium will provide a spectacular place to watch this live nationally televised MMA showcase. I'm looking forward to March 12."
This season's lightweight tournament features Marcin Held, "Razor" Rob McCullough, Toby Imada, Mike Chandler, Carey Vanier, "Cupcake" Lloyd Woodard, Ferrid Kheder, and Patricky "Pitbull" Freire. The winner will earn $100,000 and a shot at Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez.
