Kurt Pellegrino was going to return to the Bellator cage this November after a two year absence to take on Saul Ameida in Atlantic City, but an injury has forced him out of the event.
Pellegrino announced the injury on Twitter earlier this week, apologizing to his fans for being unable to compete on the card.
I would like to tell u all I'm hurt and will not be fighting in @BellatorMMA in nov sorry guys thanks for the love
The longtime UFC vet was released in 2011 after consecutive losses to George Sotiropoulos and Gleison Tibau. He then added a loss to Patricky "Pitbull" Freire in his only Bellator appearance.
