Pat Healy may be on the search for an opponent yet again for Strikeforce's final event next month, as MMAMania.com reports that Jorge Masvidal has suffered an undisclosed injury that could force him out of the January 12 event.
That would be the second lost opponent for Healy, who has missed out on a fight with Gilbert Melendez twice now due to the Strikeforce Champion's injuries. The 29-year-old has won five straight fights, and six of seven in Strikeforce.
Masvidal is not officially out just yet, but the injury may be bad enough to take him out of the fight card in Oklahoma. If it does, both fighters may be brought into the UFC later next year, but for now, Healy's once again in danger of losing an opponent.
