PELKEY BLOG: 4/30 TUF thoughts

Matt Riddle is gonna be a star someday. There's just no way around it.
He'll need another couple years of seasoning before he's ready for
primetime, but he has the look, the smile, and the personality to make
somebody some money. His reaction to Tim telling him he'd buy him an
XBox was priceless.
This week's show did a good job of making me want to see next week's
show. I can't stand Jeremy May. In his prelim fight to get into the
house, we learned that all he knows how to do is swing wildly. It
wasn't impressive. Now he talks about how no one will stand with him?
Riiiiiight. He'll get his comeuppance next week against "Crazy" Matt
Brown. I know that nickname is reserved for Bob Cook, but it seems to
work for Matt Brown. I wouldn't want to mess with that guy.
Dante Rivera sure didn't make a fan out of me. If he's one of the top
fighters in the house, and has all this experience, why couldn't he
finish a guy with 2 pro fights? I have no problem with a fight that
goes to a decision, as long as the fighters are working the whole time.
Rivera came in with a "fight not to lose" attitude, and that's what I
can't stand. If that's your style, try boxing. It's more suited for
you.
Sorry that this turned a bit rant-ish, but last night's show wasn't my
favorite. Hopefully they'll get back on track next week. Well, those
are my thoughts on the episode. Do YOU have any thoughts on it? Head on
over to the message boards and let the world know!
