With Ronda Rousey telling Ellen that her fight with Amanda Nunes will be one of her last fights, what are the top two fights you would make for Rousey before she retires?

Win or lose against Amanda Nunes, the best two fights for Rousey I had in mind were rematches against Miesha Tate and Holly Holm.  Tate’s loss and retirement changes that. But there’s still a rematch against Holly Holm.  With all the talk of media commitments distracting Rousey from proper preparation against Holm in their first fight, a second fight would clear the air and show if the first fight was truly a fluke.

It would be an absolute shame if we look back five years from now and realize that the UFC had Ronda Rousey and Chris Cyborg active during the same period and never had them face each other. This fight does not need to serve any division, and can happen at an agreeable catchweight. Put this fight in Brazil, and watch the dollars roll in. I still think that there is some money and intrigue in doing a rematch between Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm. But, I do think the viability of the fight is greatly dependent on Holm winning her next fight. I’m not so sure this fight would be as viable if Holm is coming in on a three fight losing streak. This fight can happen apart from the title, whereas another tilt between Rousey and Miesha Tate would only have made sense if the title is involved.

Hopefully the UFC will try to book Holly Holm a fight on the same card as Rousey vs. Nunes and, if both of them can walk out unscathed and victorious, then the rematch is a definite must. For Ronda to exact her revenge in her last fight would be a monumental moment in the career and legacy of one the UFC’s biggest stars of all time. It’s a tough task and two extremely dangerous fights to get through, but if any gal in the world can do it, I have no doubt that Ronda is her.

Ronda Rousey has done a lot for the sport of MMA.  I think after she fights Nunes, if she wins, the UFC will try to put together a Rousey vs. Cyborg match up at 140 lbs.  Which would be one of the biggest fights in UFC/MMA history.  I don’t think Rousey wants to fight Holly Holm again and, since Holm is on a two fight losing streak, the fight doesn’t make sense right now.  Overall, Rousey should be looking to make as much money as possible in her final couple of fights. She has earned it.
