UFC Fight Night 95 gets more reported fights in Formiga-Ortiz, Thatch-Silva, Felder-Trinaldo, and more

Several more fights are coming together for the UFC’s return to Brasilia on Sept. 24, with Jussier Formiga vs. Dustin Ortiz the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night 95 event according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.

That fight joins several others reported this week, with Erick Silva vs. Brandon Thatch, Paul Felder vs. Francisco Trinaldo, and more joining the card expected to be headlined by Cris “Cyborg” Justino and newcomer Lina Akhtar Lansberg.

Formiga and Ortiz are both ranked flyweights in the UFC in need of a victory following losses in their most recent outings. Formiga dropped a decision to Henry Cejudo last November which snapped a three fight winning streak, while Ortiz suffered a decision loss to Wilson Reis in January.

Silva and Thatch are two of the more exciting welterweights in the UFC who have nevertheless under-performed and disappointed as of late. Silva was knocked out in his most last fight by Nordine Taleb, while Thatch has been submitted in three straight fights. Felder and Trinaldo, meanwhile, are riding winning streaks into that matchup, with Trinaldo having won six straight in the UFC’s lightweight division, including two already in 2016.
